In the first of six free events in the 2010 Spring Sertoma Series, the Cary Town Band will present music of a bygone era, complete with marches, waltzes and rags of the 1890s and early 1900s, at the Town of Cary’s Sertoma Amphitheatre at Bond Park, 801 High House Road, on Friday, April 16 at 7:30 p.m. This small 21 year-old, 30-piece band is typical of the town bands of that era. “Our goal is to present the very best artists in Cary and beyond in our Sertoma Series,” said Town of Cary Performing Arts Coordinator Sarah Preston. “From traditional jazz bands to adult choirs to youth performers, the Spring Sertoma Series is an opportunity for everyone to enjoy free outdoor events.” For complete details on all events, visit Sertoma Series at www.townofcary.org or call (919) 469-4061. |
